INR Clinics – Nurse Practitioner
These are at different times throughout the week to give you flexibility.
Child Health Immunisation –
We follow the National Immunisation Guidelines and all recognised infant and child immunisations are undertaken at The Surgery. You will be sent an invitation to make an appointment when your childs immunisation is due. If you do not wish your child to receive a particular immunisation, we require a specific signed request from the mother. Please remember to bring your red book with you as it might not be possible to immunise your child without it.
Well Person, Specific Health Checks and Smoking Cessation Clinics
These clinics are designed to manage a number of clinical conditions such as Heart Disease, Diabetes, Asthma, C.O.P.D. and Womens Health.
Run by the practice nurses, under supervision of the doctor. Please ask at reception for further information or to make an appointment.
NHS Health Check
The NHS Health Check is a health check-up for adults in England aged 40 to 74. It’s designed to spot early signs of stroke, kidney disease, heart disease, type 2 diabetes or dementia. As we get older, we have a higher risk of developing one of these conditions. An NHS Health Check helps find ways to lower this risk. If you would like to take advantage of this free service please contact us and make an appointment.
Travel Health
Run by the practice nurses, please ask at reception for more details. See our travel vaccinations page for more information.
District Nurses
The District Nurses liaise directly with the surgery and provide nursing care at home seven days a week for the housebound. They can be contacted through the surgery or 01296 711307.
Family Planning Services
All contraceptive services are provided by the surgery including implanon implants, diaphragm and coil fittings. We can also provide Emergency Contraception.
Health Visitors
The Health Visitors can be contacted through the surgery or on 01296 663784.
Older Adult Community Mental Health Teams
Referral made by GP or Health Visitor.
Over 75’s
We review all patients who are 75 years and over – initially by letter, then with a telephone follow up call.
Mental Health Team
The mental health nurses are specialists trained to deal with most psychiatric problems and liaise closely with the doctors. Referral made by GP.
Podiatry
Appointments made by self-referral or the Practice Nurse
Speech Therapy
Appointments made by Health Visitor or GP referral.
