Friends of 3W Health

What do we do?

The friends of 3W Health are a registered charity, no 296089, formed to assist the 3W Practice for all three sites. Funds raised are put towards the supply of facilities and equipment to support improved patient care.

Who makes up the Committee?

We are patients, members of admin and medical staff from all three sites, and are trustees of the charity.

Items recently purchased/approved for purchase

• Centrifuge machine to enable more blood tests
• 5 x Hi – low examination couches
• Wall mounted baby changing unit
• Waiting room blood pressure machine
• Water cooler dispenser for waiting room

How can you help?

• As a trustee (discussing/agreeing how to raise funds and how to best use them)
• As a helper with fundraising activities

Alternatively there are suggestion boxes at the reception desks at all three sites (Whitchurch, Wing and Winslow) where you can record your thoughts on any item of equipment which would benefit the patient experience, and could perhaps be funded by the Friends.

Are the Friends of 3W Health the only patient-based group for the practice?

No – whilst Friends focus on raising money to support the practice by funding useful equipment for the surgeries, there is also the ‘Patient Participation Group’ which focuses on providing the practice with a patient perspective on its activities.
