Important Update: NHS Weight Loss Injection (Mounjaro) Eligibility Criteria

Who Is Eligible in the First Phase?

Patients must meet both of the following criteria:

• A Body Mass Index (BMI) of 40 or above
  AND

• Have at least four of the following five diagnosed conditions:

  1. Hypertension (high blood pressure)

  2. Sleep apnoea

  3. Type 2 diabetes

  4. Cardiovascular disease

  5. Hypercholesterolemia (high cholesterol)

If you do not meet all of these requirements, your GP will not be able to prescribe Mounjaro under the NHS Weight Loss Management programme.

No Need to Book an Appointment

We have already identified the patients within our practice who qualify under this NHS programme. If you are eligible, you will be contacted directly by our team.

Due to the high number of inquiries, we kindly ask that patients do not book GP appointments to discuss eligibility, unless they meet the above criteria.
