AccuRx Patient Triage Update: CAPTCHA Verification
AccuRx Patient Triage Update: CAPTCHA Verification
From mid-October 2026, CAPTCHA verification will be introduced on our patient-facing AccuRx Patient Triage forms at the point of submission.
Why is this being introduced?
Bots and AI-powered tools are increasingly capable of automatically completing and submitting online forms. This can result in spam or fraudulent submissions and, if volumes become high, could affect the Surgery’s ability to effectively triage genuine patient requests.
The CAPTCHA verification is being introduced to help ensure that submissions are made by real users, protecting both the Surgery and the wider NHS service from disruption caused by automated submissions.
What will patients notice?
Patients may see a brief “I’m not a robot” verification step before they can submit their form.
In most cases, this will simply involve ticking a box. Occasionally, patients may be asked to complete a short verification challenge.
The process should take only a few seconds and will not otherwise change how patients access or use Patient Triage.
