Important Update: New Appointment System – See Below for Details
We are pleased to announce that from 14 August 2023 3W Health will be introducing a new appointment booking system to help improve our service and enhance the quality of care we provide to our patients. By introducing online access we hope that this will ease the 8am phone line demand.
When you need a consultation, please contact the surgery in one of the following ways:
Please note that we are unable to process appointment bookings via email. We kindly request that you use the designated methods mentioned above for appointment scheduling.
At this stage you will be asked a few basic questions on the App or by the Patient Services Adviser.
The answers to these questions will be passed to a GP who will carefully assess each case and make an informed decision about the most appropriate type of appointment required for each patient’s unique needs. This could be an appointment with a GP, an Advanced Nurse Practitioner or the GP may recommend an alternative course of action, eg. a prescription or sick note.
How we will contact you
Our Care-Coordinators will be responsible for notifying patients of the GP’s decision. For patients who have consented to receive text messages or have a registered mobile number, the outcome will be communicated via text. For those who prefer not to receive text messages or do not have a mobile number held on our records, our team will reach out via a phone call.
Rest assured that the triage outcome communication will be clear and comprehensive, leaving no room for confusion about the GP’s decision.
Online Options for Non-Urgent Medical and Admin Requests
In addition to the above, we are also offering our patients the convenience of handling non-urgent medical and administrative requests through the NHS App or our Website’s Online Consultation Service.
Nurse and HCA Appointments
For Nurse and Healthcare Assistant appointments, we kindly ask that you continue to book through our Patient Services team by telephone or in surgery
Cancellations
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason, please inform us as soon as possible to allow us to give the slot to someone else by contacting our Patients Services team.
We are committed to continuously improving our services and ensuring that you receive the best possible healthcare experience. Thank you for your ongoing support and cooperation as we implement this new appointment system.
