Managing NHS App notifications
If you are using the NHS App to access your NHS account, you can choose if you want to allow notifications or not.
Notifications are not available when you use the NHS website to access your NHS account.
We use notifications to tell you when you have a new message.
Read more about messages in your NHS account.
To turn notifications on or off:
- Log in to the app.
- Go to More.
- Select Account and settings.
- Then select Manage notifications.
- Use the toggle to turn notifications on or off.
If you use the app on multiple devices, you’ll need to allow notifications on each device.
If you share your device with someone else, they will be able to see your notifications.
We are testing sending more messages from NHS services to some app users. It’s a convenient and secure way to get appointment reminders and other messages that you might usually get a different way – for example, through text messages or letters. If you do not turn on notifications, we may not send you some of these messages.
